In the desert region between the oasis town of Kerman / Kirman and Shiraz lies the settlement area of the Afshari tribe. The original Turkic Afshar populated many regions in Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and Turkey. Afshari rugs usually refer to Iranian-made rugs.
