Rug Rental for Film, TV and Events
Rug Rental for Film, TV and Events
For the film Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart under the direction of Pablo Larraín, nearly every rug on screen came from our collection. The story unfolds over Christmas 1991 at Sandringham House, and the set dressing had to hold up as a royal country estate, shot after shot.
We rent from that same stock to film and television productions, photo shoots and events: hand-knotted rugs, kilims and vintage pieces, from antique collector's items to contemporary designs. Over six hundred individual pieces, no catalogue range.
Historical Rugs Reproduced
When a production needs a particular pattern, a specific period, or the same piece more than once for parallel sets, we weave reproductions – after a historical original, after a painting, or to your own drawings. Through the same workshops that produce our new pieces: hand-knotted, to your measurements, in your colourway.
What a Rug Does on Camera
It sets the room, dates the scene and takes the footfall out of the sound. Period drama, a turn-of-the-century apartment, a loft, an oriental interior – the floor decides in part whether a shot holds. And because every piece is unique, it will not turn up again in the next production.
From the Collection
- Antique and vintage rugs – Persian rugs, kilims and nomadic weavings for period work and anything that needs to look older than it is.
- Modern design rugs – restrained patterns and clear fields for commercials, interiors work and contemporary sets.
- Classical oriental and palace carpets – large formats with presence, for when the rug carries the centre of the frame.
- Runners and floor coverings – for premieres, receptions and presentations.
How We Work
On set, reliability and short notice are what count. We work with production designers, set decorators, prop masters and event agencies from the first enquiry through to delivery on location. Send us what you have in mind – period, size, colour range, or a reference image – and we will put a selection together.
