Weaving Heritage & Structural Symmetrics of the Kheshti Silk Layout

In the Djoharian Collection, we present this hand-knotted Qum silk rug (also known as Qom or Ghom) as a prestigious gallery-grade collector item. Qum silk carpets represent the ultimate pinnacle of fine oriental weaving. The complex **Kheshti panel design** (garden compartment layout) divides the field into a grid of rectangular tiles, rendering detailed trees of life, cypresses, floral bouquets, and classic paisley motifs (Boteh) in a rhythmic sequence.

By utilizing ultra-thin, high-tensile natural silk threads for both pile and foundation (warp), master weavers achieve an incredible knot count of approximately **1,000,000 knots per square meter**. This grants flawless precision to complex organic miniatures and gives the pure silk its iconic luxurious luster, shifting color tone beautifully under different light angles.

Interior Design Tip & Luxury Wall Hanging: Boasting an exact dimension of 2.5 x 1.9 ft (75 x 57 cm), this unique artwork targets the popular 2x3 ft (60 x 90 cm) standard search format flawlessly. Due to its narrative character and pictorial compartment symmetry, this masterpiece is highly recommended as a statement of **textile wall art**. Displayed as a premium wall tapestry, it enhances both room acoustics and aesthetics in your living room, salon, or executive home office. Alternatively, it serves as a high-end floor accent mat in your bedroom.

Care & Ethical Values: Genuine silk is a highly valued, sustainable natural material. For maintenance, gentle vacuuming in the direction of the pile is fully sufficient. It is awarded the independent Label STEP Fair Trade Certification for safe workspace ethics. Fully compatible with underfloor heating.
