Heriz rug almost 7 x 10 ft, hand-knotted for carpet living room, dining room, bedroom, office.
The Heriz collection features the typical traditional design that fits many interior styles such as European, Mediterranean, vintage and midcentury.
The origin of Heriz carpets lies in the Orient, in the Persian city of Heriz or Heris in the East Azerbaijan region in northern Iran. The small town is world-famous for its high-quality crugss. Particularly expressive, high-quality carpets have been produced there for around two centuries. Typical of traditional Heriz rugs is a graphic pattern, relatively coarse weave, excellent wool and beautiful, vibrant colors. For several years now, carpets in the Heriz design have also been produced in other countries, e.g. in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and India. These have a similar pattern, but are different in knot structure and feel.
This rug is from India that has a finer Heriz design with a higher knot density. The colors are calmer than with Persian Heriz rug.
