12918 Kilim rug Gashgai / Qashqai 9.7 x 6.5 ft / 296 x 199 cm

The Kilim carpets and rugs offered by us are real nomadic art from southern Persia. Woven by the Gashgai nomads of the Fars region, these kilim rugs in color and motif are absolutely authentic. Due to their high quality, they are slightly more expensive than the simple Shiraz or Senneh Kelim, which, although coming from Persia, are coarser woven and often have bright chemical colors.
The well-balanced colors and workmanship testify to the experience and craftsmanship of the Gashgai women who made these carpets. Natural dyes have been used for the colors of these sumptuous carpets. The wool was spun by hand, and woven by hand. At Gashgai Kilim from Persia, the slot technology is usually used, allowing the carpet to be used on both sides. Common formats are 120 x 60 cm, 140 x 170 cm, 150 x 100 cm, 180 x 120 cm, 200 x 140 cm, 200 x 150 cm, 240 x 170 cm, 300 x 200 cm.
