Nepal Tiles Rug 207 × 141 cm – Botanical Motifs in Blue, Sage and Grey-Green
Hand-knotted Nepal rug from Kathmandu, in the “Tiles” design. A grid of rectangular panels with stylised botanical motifs combines blue, sage and grey-green with fine pale outlines. Made with hand-spun Tibetan highland wool. New.
Pattern and colours
The field is divided into a grid of rectangular panels. Each panel contains a stylised botanical motif, with slender stems, leafy branches and flower-like forms alternating across the design. Fine dividing lines bring the different motifs together into a calm, orderly composition.
Blue, sage and grey-green define the palette. A broad blue outer border surrounds the patterned field, while narrow pale frame lines echo the drawing within. The subtle colour contrasts allow the botanical motifs to emerge gently from the background.
Origin and craftsmanship
This rug was hand-knotted in Kathmandu, Nepal. Its pile is made from fine, hand-spun Tibetan highland wool (Changpai), with a pile height of approximately 12–14 mm. The “Tiles” design combines a structured panel layout with individually drawn botanical motifs. The rug is new and offered as a single piece.
Size and placement
The exact size is 207 × 141 cm, approximately 6'9" × 4'8", covering around 2.92 m² (31.4 sq ft). The rug belongs to our approximate 5 × 7 ft size category.
This format works in front of a smaller seating group in the living room, beside a bed in the bedroom or as an accent in a study or home office. Its muted colours complement pale woods, neutral tones and simple contemporary furniture.
Care and rug pad: Vacuum in the direction of the pile without a rotating brush, avoiding the fringes. Blot spills with a clean cloth rather than rubbing them in. When needed, we recommend professional rug washing rather than dry cleaning. See our rug washing and repair service. On smooth floors, a non-slip rug pad suitable for your flooring is recommended.
