Loribaft rug veggie dyes 4.8 x 3.1 ft / 147 x 96 cm hand knotted.
Top modern interior design rug, hand-knotted from 100% sheep's wool.
Loribaft carpets are hand-knotted by the women of the nomadic tribe Lori or Luri in southwest Persia. The wool for these wonderful works of art comes from sheep that graze on the slopes of the Zagros Mountains. Because of the altitude, the wool from these sheep is of excellent quality. All yarns are spun by hand. All dyes in the carpet come from natural coloring with vegetable colors. This is particularly sustainable from an ecological point of view. The knot density of the Loribaft carpets is very high at around 300,000 knots per m² for a product from nomadic production.
