Anastasia Runner Rug 300 x 80 cm – Hand-Knotted with High-Low Texture
This hand-knotted designer runner from India combines rich red, coral and pink tones with an abstract, painterly pattern. Wool and viscose create contrasting textures and lustre, while the high-low cut adds a tactile relief to the colour composition.
A Painterly Abstract Design
The pattern resembles overlapping layers of paint. Dense red and pink areas alternate with lighter passages in beige and grey. Muted green and ochre appear as smaller accents throughout the surface. Fine speckles and broken colour traces connect the different areas.
There is no traditional central medallion or separate border. The open composition pairs well with simple furniture, timber and understated wall colours.
Wool, Viscose and High-Low Pile
The pile consists of approximately 60% virgin sheep's wool and 40% viscose. Wool provides a softer, less reflective surface, while viscose introduces a subtle sheen to selected areas. Different cutting heights emphasise the abstract drawing and give the rug its high-low texture. The pile reaches approximately 12 mm.
Hand-knotted in India on a cotton foundation, the runner has a quality of 100 knots per square inch, equivalent to approximately 155,000 knots per m². This allows the fine colour details to be clearly defined.
A Colourful Runner for Hallways and Bedrooms
Measuring 300 x 80 cm, approximately 9 ft 10 in x 2 ft 7 in, Anastasia suits a long hallway, a gallery space or the side of a bed. In an open interior, its narrow format can link adjoining areas. The warm colours stand out particularly well against pale timber or stone floors.
