Weaving Heritage & Intricate Medallion Aesthetics from Qum

In the Djoharian Collection, we present this hand-knotted Qum oriental carpet (also known as Qom or Ghom) as a fine example of central Persian weaving heritage. The geometric-floral, diamond-shaped central medallion in deep blue and karmesin red rests beautifully on a warm beige ground field, flanked by delicate floral bouquets. The surrounding dominant red main border and ochre/curry corner spandrels establish a regal frame of exceptional symmetry and precision.

First-grade, velvety-soft Kork wool was selected for the dense pile. The thinly spun yarn guarantees exceptionally sharp motif lines, enabling the weavers from Qum to execute the intricate floral patterns flawlessly. Since this genuine vintage piece has been beautifully maintained, the low-pile fibers offer an elegant appearance, highlighting the authentic color scheme.

Interior Design Tip for Sophisticated Homes: As a classic medallion rug, it is custom-designed for the floor. It introduces a luxurious brightness and noble elegance to your fine living room, acts as a luxurious bedside mat or accent in the master bedroom, or sets an impressive, welcoming tone in a large entryway or hallway on hardwood, stone, or parquet flooring.

Care & Value Preservation Advice: As a strong natural fiber product, this wool rug is easy to clean; regular gentle vacuuming in the direction of the pile is fully sufficient. To guard its long-term asset value, it has been professionally washed by experts. Fully compatible with underfloor heating.
