Woven Legends is a company from the USA that has been flying the flag of antique carpet art for more than 30 years. Antique carpet designs were remade in Turkey and in India by specially trained weavers and dyers using vegetable dyes. The aim was to reproduce carpets with an antique look in excellent quality and true to the original. Carpets by Woven Legends can often only be distinguished from pieces in museums or carpet collections by experts - the pieces by Woven Legends were produced with such great attention to detail and precision. To achieve this, women were trained to spin the wool by hand, then the yarns were dyed with vegetable dyes and made using the correct knotting technique. Woven Legends is hardly known in Europe, but in the USA the company has been one of the leading suppliers of traditional, authentic carpets in the high-end segment for decades.
